At The Snooty Fox Tea Shop, we use a press-style brewing device for two reasons:
Reason #1 With a press, the tea leaves are able to move around, mingle, and come fully into contact with the hot water. This brewing style yields better flavor and offers better conditions for nutrient extraction from the leaves.
Reason #2 Drinking tea has the potential to engage all of your senses. Taste and smell are the obvious ones; a glass press provides the opportunity to observe your tea’s brewing habits with your eyes. Rooibos releases an earthy red color, Cherry Blossom Green turns the water a pale pink, oolong leaves unfurl slowly to shocking sizes, and our Japanese green teas show off lively verdant shades.
